Sounds like Mr. Pat has spent too many years doing PowerPoint presentations for Duke Energy. Did I mention he's a big cheese at Duke Energy?

Or maybe a consultant to Duke Energy?

I wonder if he's in favor or more coal plants?

At the Civitas Luncheon today, Jack Hawke (McCrory's campaign manager) emphasized repeatedly his strategy for the McCrory campaign.

McCrory is going to win his election is by fanning the flames of resentment against North Carolina's burgeoning Latino population.

In response D.G. Martin suggested that, while that might be an effective campaign tactic, you'll want to weigh the public's emotional response to immigration against practical policy concerns. Jack Hawke wouldn't let him finish the point. He interrupted to insist that all immigrants are criminals who deserve to treated as such regardless of any greater impact upon the state.

Not that any of this is surprising. Jack Hawke brought the low road lower when he had other options (Helms campaign), you can't expect him to develop a sense of decency now that the NC GOP really only has that one tired old card to play.
