Seeing the stimulus through the clouds

All the flailing away at the stimulus package by the anti-everything folks doesn’t seem to be working in North Carolina. A survey by Public Policy Polling in Raleigh finds that North Carolinians support President Obama’s stimulus plan by a 50-39 percent margin.

Jack Betts with the Charlotte Observer also noticed the poll and the observation by PPP’s Tom Jensen  that the numbers may simply be a referendum on President Obama. Either way, it’s encouraging that all the efforts to rewrite history and the laws of economics don’t seem be changing many minds.
