WRAL Report: Blue Cross Exec Salaries Skyrocket

Wral reports tonight that Bob Greczyn made nearly $4 million last year while profits at the “nonprofit” are over $180 millon. All five top BC execs are now pulling down over $1 million a year. Premiums for ordinary folks? Up 10%.

    Blue Cross shill Lew Borman says that BCBSNC is doing something about the public’s frustration with health care. I must have missed the part where he says exactly what Blue Cross is doing to make health care more affordable.

    How much “insurance” ie how any people would be covered if BCBS executives & staff had a $400,000 compensation cap until the current crisis was over? (A good excuse for a trial period.)
    Does anyone know; what portion of collected premiums actually get into provider accounts?
    And why is this true? The young under 40, state employees are buying a BCBS preferred state employee individual policy? Is it because costs less than NC SHP coverage?
