Top of the morning

The latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll shows again that the American people don’t buy all the anti-Obama shouting from the Right, as Nate Silver at FiveThirtyEight.com points out.

The survey found that 84 percent of the people understand that Obama inherited the economic crisis and 68 percent give him at least one to two years to start turning it around.

There’s plenty of other reassuring numbers, like the finding that 67 percent of people feel more hopeful when they look at Obama’s leadership and his plans for the country.

You can read a pdf of the entire poll here.

One to two years to turn this mess around will not be enough. If anything, it will get a lot worse in the next two years.

If you don’t believe me, your economic guru Paul Krugman believes this economic mess could take more than a decade to sort out…
