It’s not like we expect politicians to be consistent, but it is still disconcerting when they seem to directly contradict themselves in a short span of time.
The Wonk Room at Think Progress finds that is exactly what North Carolina Senator Richard Burr is doing in his criticism of the Obama Administration’s plan to allow private insurance companies to pay for the treatment of combat-related injuries suffered by soldiers.
Burr recently blasted the idea of government-run health care, saying in effect that private companies are much better at managing medical services. Those would be the same private companies that he doesn’t want involved at all in taking care of injured veterans.

What about the inconsistencey of the Obama administration advocating government controlled healthcare for everyone except veterans?
The Obama administration has not been advocating government controlled healthcare for everyone except veterans. There are enough red herrings in that statement to feed a family of four.
The Obama plan helps patients get closer to their doctors.
