It is voices like Kay that together and united will make health care reform a reality in 2009. Everyone in North Carolina and across the nation has to beleive that this issue is their issue weather you have health insurance or not. After working over 20 years for health reform and winning some incremental safety nets the nets now have holes in them. The continued rising cost of health care, climbing uninsured and health disparities will remain the same if everyone does not rise their voices for health care reform now in 2009. Our nation can not wait any longer the time is now, join the fight and let your voice be heard at; healthcareforamericanow.org/nc .

I'd love to see the politician who can look Kay in the eye and tell her that reform is "too expensive," "politically unworkable," or "I really want it, but all those other people don't."

Thanks for sharing this information and for supporting great women and advocates like this. The more we share our stories and our voices in the call for health care reform and a quality affordable national health care plan, we will have a better chance of seeing it happen.
