People will likely lose their insurance under this plan because workers will not be able to cover a sick spouse. The pharmacists -- including large retail pharmacy chains -- delayed the process until they stripped out the provisions they disliked before signing off on a bill that hurts average state workers. Once employees lose insurance coverage they will not be stopping by urgent care or local drug stores. Why isn’t Mike James working to protect the little guys — state workers — in the State Health Plan proposal?

He & his wife own a small pharmacy and know first hand how much responsibility pharmacists have. If your child has a fever or you get a rash or a sniffle, chances are, your personal pharmacist is the first person you'll call. Mike James notified us about what Tony Rand was up to (sending hundreds of millions of $ to New Jersey mailorder & eliminating thousands of NC jobs in the process) so we each contacted our legislators and this time they listened to us. If it weren't for your own blogs & videos & articles as well as Mike James' calls & faxes & emails to us last week, about half the pharmacies in NC would be out of business & you could spend hours in the urgent care instead of stopping by your local drug store. Mike James works for the little guys!
