Here are some numbers from the Sunlight Foundation that put President Obama’s challenge to pass health care reform in perspective.

The health care industry trade groups with a representatives at a public event with Obama Monday included the Pharmaceutical Researchers and Manufacturers Association, the American Medical Association , America’s Health Insurance Plans, the Advanced Medical Technology Association and the American Hospital Association.

The groups spent a combined $18 million lobbying Congress in the first quarter of the 2009 and employ 20 former government officials, from former members of Congress to former top staff members to Congressional leaders.
