Senator Burr speaks (and gets spoken to!) on health reform today

A US Senate committee dealing with health care met today to briefly discuss stalled health reform legislation. Nothing of consequence happened, but you did get to see our own Senator Richard Burr in action near the end of the discussion. The Senator tried to “remind” his fellow Senators about a few things, but ended up getting “reminded” of a thing or two himself:

    Mikulski – “I am tired of trying to impart my ideology on the American people year after year and not making any headway. The debate isn’t going to change anything so now we will just force it upon them.”

    I think the problem wasn’t imparting ideology, it was who had been running the HELP Committee and the Senate. Bravo Sen. Mikulski.
