New Report – NC health coverage shrinks; premiums skyrocket

The national health group HCAN today released a report detailing the shrinking pool of people in North Carolina covered by health insurance along with the huge increases in costs over the last decade. Both employers and employees have faced premium cost increases of 75% from 2000-2007. The average family health premium during that time has risen from $6,649/yr to $11,618/yr.
