Perspectives on the state budget & health care reform

As details of a tentative budget deal are announced, Chris Fitzsimon commends House and Senate members for raising taxes to save vital services but chastises them for not taking the extra steps to fix our broken revenue system. Be sure to read his commentary entitled, “The third way and the unfortunately easy way.”

Rob Schofield compared the stakes in the health care reform battle to another famous battle that saved the free world. In his column “D-Day for health care reform“, he tells us that we are a critical point where we cannot turn back and we cannot stand still, we must bravely forge ahead to develop new fair and affordable system of care.
