Three opportunites for major reform

In his latest Weekly Briefing, Rob Schofield tells us that the current budget impasse is a final opportunity for legislators to “get it right” by passing a progressive tax reform package. Schofield outlines a BTC plan that would raise over a billion dollars in new revenues AND cut taxes for 60% of North Carolina taxpayers. That’s a plan lawmakers should consider.
