UNC’s Bill Roper adds voice to new organization pushing for health reform

UNC Hospital Chief Bill Roper today joined other health care provider and professional heavyweights in Washington to push Congress to act quickly on health reform. Health Reform USA is a new organization with advisors like renowned health economist Uwe Reinhardt and respected UNC health expert Gordon DeFriese.

Heads of hospitals, physicians, the people most connected with writing and thinking and doing health care in America – and they have a simple message. Health care reform must happen now, it must be affordable for everyone, and we must contain costs.

Bill Roper has been pushing reform hard as we’ve noted before – and this is one more instance. Let’s hope Congress listens to the people who know health care the best and acts soon.
