Thirty-five North Carolina state lawmakers are among a group of more than 1,000 state legislators from all 50 states that are asking Congress to pass meaningful health care reform that includes a public option.

The Progressive States Network [1] put the group together that includes 25 members of the North Carolina House and ten members of the Senate. You read the list here [2] by clicking on North Carolina in the list of states.

Governor Beverly Perdue was one of six Democratic governors who declined [3] to sign a similar letter to Congress.
