Action for Children NC and the NC Institute of Medicine have released the 2009 report card on health access and status for children.
The state gets an “A” for environmental health and early intervention.
It gets a “B” for insurance coverage and “C” for dental health.
It gets an “F” for obesity and a “D” for alcohol, tobacco, and substance abuse.
