Rob Schofield totes the benefits of the N.C. Utility Commission in his Weekly Briefing “Something’s gotta’ give.” He argues that without the commission, consumers would be subject to expansion whims of utility companies with the heaviest rate increase burdens falling on low-income customers.
In his latest commentary “Overwhelming evidence for abolition,” Chris Fitzsimon sites a study by the Death Penalty Information Center that finds state like North Carolina are wasting money putting inmates to death.
