Top of the morning

National media sources are confirming what we already know here, that Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina is a leader—against meaningful health care reform.

Following up on Adam Searing’s report [1] that BCBSNC is sending out pre-paid postcards to its policyholders encouraging them to send the cards that oppose a public health care option to Senator Kay Hagan, the Huffington Post has picked up on the story [2].

The Post ought to remind policyholders that they don’t have to tolerate their premiums paying for opposition to health care reform by following the example of one Progressive Pulse reader that Adam recently sited [3].

BCBSNC made national news by producing one of the first television commericals opposing a public option. Now it is leading the way in using policyholder premiums to fight it.

Sure does make you proud of our Blue Cross, doesn’t it?
