The outrage over Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina’s latest effort to oppose meaningful health care reform is growing.
The Pitt County Board of Commissioners voted Monday to send a letter to Blue Cross to protest the company’s decision to send postage-paid cards to customers addressed to Senator Kay Hagan opposing a public option as part of reform.
Spokesman Lew Borman says Blue Cross will not release how much it spent on the mailings or how many of the postcards it send out.
The number 3.99 million sounds familiar. No wait, that was CEO Bob Greczyn’s salary in 2008.
