In the (Greenville) Daily Reflector story about the Blue Cross anti-health reform postcard campaign the insurance company refused to tell the paper how much it spent on the mailings or how many mailings were sent.
But this afternoon Blue Cross did say this to the N&O’s Under the Dome blog :
“Our point was these post cards won’t have a significant impact on premiums, but we think some of the proposals in Washington could have a significant impact,” [Lew] Borman said. “We feel like we have an obligation to our customers to raise these questions.”
So the mailers won’t have a significant impact on premiums? Does that mean it will have some impact on premiums?
I do agree with Borman on one point, proposals in Washington will have a significant impact. Thank goodness.
