Mental Health has been an after thought for 30 years of my experience. I have watched it get worse and worse.

I fell through the cracks long ago. I was thrown out of one mental health system for being "Too compliant, making all my appointments and staying on my medications." They had a policy of zero tolerance for skipping medications or appointments so I worked hard at doing what I was supposed to. They said the fact I could comply proved I did not need mental health.

The last time I fell through the cracks was when we lost our insurance for two years.

Luckily there were private Doctors mostly Primary care who helped me along the way.

I know people who are not getting help right now. One person talked to me the other day and told me through delusions there was no point in going on like this. I tried to pass some hope on. This is really a civil rights issue. A whole group of ill people have been thrown away by society. Would we treat people with heart disease this way?
