Finally an answer to why Wall Street financial companies are getting the swine flu vaccine before most of the rest of the country.

It is the same answer to why Goldman Sachs and several other financial firms that received federal bailout money are paying huge bonuses to executives and fighting any reasonable regulation of their industry.

They are doing “God’s work,” according to Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein.

Oh sorry, we thought it was your hiring of a battalion of lobbyists, placing a bevy of former executives in the administration, and giving millions to politicians of both parties to protect your billions in profits,even it if means pushing the national economy to the edge of collapse.

Turns out it was a holy misssion.

    I live in the UK and as a non American I and everyone I know is astounded at the way the American (and canadian) health care systems allow people who are wealthy or well known to push to the front of the cure for vaccination against swine flu. In the UK and Europe there are no long lines all the at risk groups are being vaccinated, as are health care workers etc. Then it will be the turn of everyone else. All of this is done free of charge and without any fuss. All workers have paid sick leave. I am so glad I do not live in North America as every country in Europe has a superior health care system, and employment rights.

    Other countries may have antiquated socialist ideas for healthcare, but America is still the most free nation to ever exist in all of human history… at least until Obama gets his way and drags the US into the 19th Century with the rest of Europe.

    the Bush and Obama administrations and both Republican and Democratic Congresses have put their faith and trust in the least humane and most untrustworthy vaccine source: the private sector

    IBXer, you ain’t gonna win with these ticks…. They’re still gonna try to latch on to some old dog and suck the life out of it, but it is fun to splat one every now and again.

    And for the rest of y’all…. your right, the private sector/free markets will never work. Not so long as we have a government that defies it’s Constitution and weak kneed citizens who refuse to take responsibility for their own lives.
