Last month in DC our friend in Asheville, Leslie Boyd, told the story of her son who died because he didn’t have health insurance. Leslie’s story is a powerful one that those who want to wait on reform should consider:

    It seem that every time we get a little closer to meaningful reform, the abortion issue gets in the way.
    This point needs airing -

    State & Federal Legislation meddles with women’s rights.
    Regarding abortion legislation, including the (proposed) Health Care Reform Act -
    These questions should be answered -

    Questions for men -

    Do you feel men should only comment if they are Pro-Choice?
    Yea – Nay

    Can you put yourself in the same mental and physical place as
    women with an unwanted pregnancy?
    Yea – Nay

    Questions for women -

    Do you feel men should only comment if they are Pro-Choice?
    Yea – Nay

    Do you agree with this statement -
    Most ‘Pro-Life’ women feel that a women’s right to control her
    reproductive abilities, and life choices, should not be denied?
    Yea – Nay
