I bet she turned around and advocated for more nuclear power, too.

Ahhhh! I can’t open the link. But based on the headline, why not? I could see the free market, not as regulators, but equalizers in the arms races about the globe.

I guess if you think Ron Paul is reasonable then abolishing the DOE is no big deal.

With out a doubt Adam. I’d also like to get rid of the Department’s of, Education – Homeland Security – Agriculture – NASA – Federal Reserve – and a whole host of other redundant and useless federal programs and money pits.

It’s not that I think Ron Paul is right on every issue but he is on this and he’s not alone.

    Simple solutions for complicated issues.
Who decides what is redundant and/or useless?
Who wants to throw out the advances we have because we the people spent money on scientific projects of Dept of Ag, NASA, etc. Wanna give up satellites that provide your cell phone service and GPS? Gee, NASA was useless, wasn’t it? Wanna let the people who build nuke plants sell off the radioactive rods to free marketeers for making your kids bikes? Toss out DOE.Yep, they try to protect you from radiation, but you don’t need that, do you, slweetheart?
Wanna see the nation lose california OJ, corn syrup to sweeten your cereal, welcome the return of the dust bowl? Get rid of Dept. of Ag. Their work on agricultural pests and cover crops is a waste of time, obviously.
Oh, what’s the use. Let’s just return to the primitive state of half-starvation, weapons of war turned against the populace, and communication by homing pigeon and smoke signals. We’ll all be a lot happier, right?
