Does Rep. Sue Myrick think that Islam is a “terminal disease”?

myrickTalkingPointsMemo today describes the confrontation between Myrick and her Muslim constituents over her wacky investigation of “intern spies” and her endorsement of a WorldNetDaily book called Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld that’s Conspiring to Islamize America. Myrick wrote the forward to the book.

Her constituents noted that the author of the book, David Gaubatz, has said that Islam is a “terminal disease that once spread is hard to destroy”. Myrick now claims that she disagrees with that statement and that Gaubatz didn’t write a word of the Muslim Mafia book.

That seems to contradict what she wrote in her forward: “Former federal investigator and co-author P. David Gaubatz, meanwhile, is a great American who deserves all our gratitude for his heroic service to our country.”

So is Gaubatz a co-author or not? And while Myrick may disagree with his characterization of Islam she is clearly not offended enough to denounce him. Quite the contrary, she thinks he is a great American.

    Rep. Myrick has displayed commendable courage in providing support to Americans of courage and with cognitive skills. The Moslems arrayed against her are themselves hate mongers pure and simple.

    I have covered and written about Sue Myrick’s career for over 20 years, primarily at Creative Loafing newspaper in Charlotte. This latest burr under Myrick’s saddle, and her bug-eyed, full-tilt reaction to it is pretty representative of how she’s always operated. She latches on to one specific issue and flogs it obsessively. If it’s not teenagers being ruined by “Satanic” heavy metal music during her City Council days, it’s the evil nature of traffic problems. If it’s not traffic, it’s coffeepots talking to her (true story, unfortunately). If it’s not Mr. Coffee coming to life, it’s illegal immigrants wrecking American culture. Now she’s jacked to the gills over some intelligence reports that no one but she see as an immediate threat. In other words, you’re not talking about a balanced person, as her recent meeting with Charlotte Muslims attests.     She is right,..ISLAM is a DISEASE…it is coming strong at AMERICA and those of you who DEFEND it know nothing of it apparently..LOOK AROUND THE WORLD..ISLAMICS are at war trying to force SHARIA LAW everywhere they go..DO YOU WANT ALCOHOL BANNED, WOMEN TO HAVE TO WEAR BURQAS?     In my opinion it is very brave of her to write such a book. I’ve read a lot about Islam.There is a lot of interesting books about it in pdf format on pdf search http://www.pdfok.com . Well, this religion has a lot of in common with Christianity. But recently the society has gained bad attitude towards it because of radical muslims. But we should remember that there is a small quantity of such people in every religion but they do not build the core.
