Guess they were pretty sure of that vote

Well, that didn’t take long. The Wake County School Board/Pope Civitas Institute has scheduled a school board training (click the tab on the far right) for this Friday. It will feature, among others, Pope employee Lindalyn Kakadelis – who as Chris Fitzsimon noted on Monday of this week, was emailing Papa Ron Margiotta back in November about the idea.

Wonder if the event will be open to the media – it supposedly costs $50 to attend.

Wonder if they’ll be any more violations of open meetings laws.

Wonder if these people have any shame.

One session the Gang of Five would clearly do well to attend: the one entitled “Parliamentary Procedure: Learning the Ropes.”

And if you are a real glutton for punishment, while you’re on the “events” page, check out their upcoming lecture by a ultra-right, corporate apologist priest named Robert Sirico (co-sponsored,of course, by Bob Luddy’s and Ron Margiotta’s Thales Academy). Fun times!

I will pay the tuition of up to 10 people who want to crash the party. Reach me at BlueNC.

Clearly. The presenter, Phil Strach, is Legal Counsel for the NCGOP.

If I weren’t going on vacation I would definitely take you up on it James. We have to get some crashers — and please take a video camera!

Registration is now closed. I hope that someone was able to register that will provide a detailed summary of the training to the public.
