Sign of the times

There is so much to love about the posters carried by the segregationistas at the Wake County School Board meeting last night. (Click for larger image.) This summer the right-wingers at health care rallies proclaimed as often as possible that any sign not homemade is illegitimate. I didn’t see any homemade signs supporting the Gang of Five.

I also like the untraditional spelling of “bussing” — more commonly rendered as “busing”.

And then there is the edict against wasteful spending. Art Pope doesn’t care about the financial implications of resegrating the schools — he just wants his school board to carry out his wishes. And his wish is their command. There was no study of financial implications before the board cast its vote.
