Supporters of reform came together today to thank Congressman Bob Etheridge for his vote for reform and to encourage Congress to finish the job and pass a reform bill. Special interests can’t be allowed to stand in the way of reform! Get the flavor here, including a call for reform from Blaike Bibbs, age 12:

For all of you people who want to nationalize (and necessarily politicize it), please explain to me why you think it is a good idea to want to go through this every year for the rest of your life and the lives of all of your children and their children.

Politicizing healthcare is wrong. Having to beg the government for the ability to get this test or that procedure is horrible.

one more time…private health insurers stay in business and get more customers as a result of national reform. In return, private insurers can’t deny people health coverage because of pre-existing conditions or sell swiss-cheese type health plans with huge cost sharing that don’t cover anything.

Hey Mr Searing, Bubba and I said Hi. Love the video, was there really only one lone counter protester?

Wow you are so clever! Filming the opposition one and half hours BEFORE THEY PLANNED TO START. Where was your camera when 100 people were waving signs to kill the healthcare bill. We know what you did and we will make sure more and more people know it too. Nice of you all to come out with only 2 days notice that folks were going to be there to protest the healthcare bill. Great organizing. Loved thos preprinted signs!

Why not follow the MA healthcare agenda, if government ruined HC is sooo great? Keep it IN YOUR OWN STATE.
Complicity in the violation of the Constitution of the United States, by handing more authority to tyrants, is not your right. What you propose is the enslavement of all Americans to the United States, in violation of the intent and words of the Constitution.
Government is always a danger to We the People, because power corrupts. Government builds ever-increasing authority, by stacking precedence upon precedence upon precedence.
Give them an inch, they will take it all!

Hey Rany…. There were over a 100 protesters of ObamaCare at the Raleigh. Your friend did his little film prior to their arrival time, but hey, he reports just like the media. It’s a sad day in this country.

What a big lie…I am not surprised that you progressives have no integrity. If the government doesn’t issue it to you, you certainly wouldn’t work for it, therefore, integrity is not a progressive possession. Do you think people actually believe such a poor lie? How stupid fo you think Americans actually are…oh, that’s right…that is the standard of progressives. It’s practically your motto, “Listen to us because we’re progressive. We’re smarter than you and know better than you what is good for you.” One person showed to protest Obamacare…people know better than that garbage, moron.

“private insurers can’t… sell swiss-cheese type health plans with huge cost sharing that don’t cover anything.”

You bought a plan like that? You’re dumber than you look. I am offered a variety of plans every year at open enrollment, I review the plans, and I buy the one that offers the best value for the money – the same way I buy anything else. Oh, it’s more boring than comparing the specs on a new iPod or some other bauble, but it pays off.

And for the record, I have a great plan with a medical savings account that rolls over from year to year mostly funded by my employer; My contributions to it are tax free. It also includes a relatively inexpensive policy that kicks in for serious illnesses, hospitalization, etc. This combination is extremely effective – but it has been opposed by democrats in many states, including Wisconsin, where I live – where the governor vetoed a measure to make my contributions exempt from state income tax. Why? Because democrats are all about taking money and control away from people – which is what this health care bill does, in a big way.

It looked more like a FEUDALISM promotional event to me!! Feudalism is in the DNA of Europeans. It’s understandable how they have gravitated towards socialism and serfdom. Americans fled feudalism. We are cowboys, adventures, risk takers and generally self reliant. OBAMA and his invaders are pushing the feudal agenda. I SAY, LET’S PUSH THEM BACK AND RECLAIM OUR COUNTRY from the feudalists. Some of the supporters of feudalism believe they deserve to live in the castle with the king, as they are under the misconception that they are 2nd and 3rd tier royalty. Here you find the lawyers, Hollywood, intelligentsia, union leadership, media idiot savants, environmental leadership and statist political thieves.

The depravity of truth in the brainless progressives, and useful idiots that have been enlisted by the Nazi Youth Leftist, George Soros, ACORN, SEIU, et al is indeed amazing. Despite the fact that we saw it up close and personal 75 yrs ago, which is maybe the price of being so prosperous, and powerful, they STILL refuse to deal with reality…GRIM REALITY.

How much reality do you need to figure out the truth about Obamacare when we have to pay FOUR…count ‘em 4…years of exorbitant taxes/premiums without being able to make the 1st claim, or get a dime’s worth of bene’s (as if there are any). And these socialist useful idiots think that’s compassion. Again, in their denial of reality, if the insurance industry (with their massive 2.5% profit) tried some such trick they would rightly so, be hung in public. But NOT the Messiah, or the Democrats. Furthermore, their bastions of govmt healthcare, Medicaid, and Medicare have massive fraud WAY surpassing ANY insurance firm. Does THAT matter to Obama. NO! Why? IT’S ALL ABOUT CONTROL!!!

I was there and you obviously took your shot before the event even began. If you are going to tell the story you should show it like it happened. I saw true American patriots carrying home made signs & waving U.S. flags in OPPOSITION to this health care takeover. Not one flag waved on your side of the street until we asked where your flags were. True patriots don’t wait for a sign to be handed to us nor do we expect a handout from the gov’t. Chants from your side said People Not Profit. Let me tell you something … if there is NO profit there is NO business. I’ve never worked for a poor man. Your signs said Health Care REFORM Now ….. Please look up the meaning of reform. There is a difference between reform and complete restructuring.

Why is it my obligation to pay for anyone’s health care other than mine? I don’t pay for anyone’s car/home/life insurance. Why is health care considered a right that is PROVIDED by the government?

Medicare – BROKE. Social Security – BROKE. Medicaid – BROKE. Amtrak – BROKE. Post Office – BROKE. With a track record like that , why in the world would ANY parent entrust the same people to provide health care for their children.

Be self responsible, do not rely on the government to provide for you. Take responsibility for yourself and your family and leave my wallet alone.

    Adam,

Your comment, “one more time…private health insurers stay in business and get more customers as a result of national reform.”

To use the words of Congressman Joe Wilson, “You Lie”!

Mr. Searing, With all due respect sir, please educate yourself on the “ACTUAL” content of these proposed legislations. And by educate, I mean to throughly “READ & Comprehend” the bills. Now to comprehend the bills, you MUST…I repeat, MUST take the time…. (at 10 hours per day, this should ONLY take the average American about 7-10 days to understand the bill)

That should be alright w/ you since ALL of the supporters of this nonsense are on welfare & only want another entitlement.

And I was there too. Let me say Adam, I really liked all your “Patriotic Flags” & pocket “US Constitutions” that your group displayed!(note sarcasm since the liberal side of the street had NO FLAGS & NO CONSTITUTIONS)

“What do we want? Health Care! When do we want it? Now!”

Are these people so incredibly ignorant that they don’t realize that they HAVE health care? They have the best health care in the world, and if they’re too poor (or too lazy to work) the states (Medicaid) will provide it for them, or the hospitals will (federal law prohibits turning anyone away from emergency care due to lack of funds).

The health care “crisis” be the greatest hoax this country has ever seen. It’s an attempt to control the masses in just another way – think about the control the DMV has over you: if you don’t pay their fees, you don’t drive; if you don’t follow their rules, you don’t drive (and I don’t mean traffic laws). Or think about the gazillions of ‘regulations’ the USPS has for allowing us to PAY them to send mail. This is the future of Obammacare. And it’s a future that freedom loving Americans will reject – the November elections will be a bloodbath for Dimokrats.

Saying that this isn’t govt take over of healthcare is like saying Iran is not going for the bomb.

So sad that people are so unintelligent when they profess to read the bill and haven’t. So sad that people do not understand that healthcare premiums rise each year by some 30plus percent. Reform is not the government running healthcare- it is around limiting the health insurance companies from raising premiums to unbelievable numbers. This, you so well informed conservatives, is what drives jobs for the average person right out of the country. Instead of listening to Rush Limbaugh and the Fox pundants- read- learn- educate yourselves- the mind is a terrible thing to waste.
