Kissell is a toss up

The Cook Political Report has the 8th Congressional District race listed as a toss up.

I can’t read the reasoning behind the rating because I don’t have a subscription for The Cook Political Report. If anyone has a subscription please enlighten me. Most of us can probably guess why Harold Johnson, despite a complete lack of any discernible platform, has a shot. Toss up is what Kissell has made many former supporters want to do over the past year as he gave incoherent reasons to oppose health reform.

Of course, the misinformation campaign against reform deeply saturated the 8th District and many voters are skeptical of the new law. That could help Kissell. But his base won’t be too enthusiastic about his wishing and washing about and ignoring constituent questions. And many Republicans probably wouldn’t support him no matter how he voted. Kissell will also struggle to raise money without the BlueNC backers. All that certainly could add up to a snug race.

Those are just my thoughts. I don’t get paid to publish a fancy political newsletter.

I went by his Fayetteville office, and felt like I was tolerated
until I had my chance to express my views. I was unhappy with
his whole stance on Healthcare Reform. I was told he votes
his own mind. It does not mesh with Democratic thinking.
Maybe he would be happier in the NO party.
