Take Action to Help Homeowners and Homebuyers

Remarkably, North Carolina still doesn’t have even basic protections against certain fraudulent practices to cheat homeowners and homebuyers out of hard-earned money.

We can change that, though — today.

The NC House just passed Senate Bill 1015, the Homeowner and Homebuyer Protection Act. The bill would stop shady people from robbing homeowners of equity, and in turn protect community prosperity. Now, the bill heads back to the Senate.

There have been behind-the-scenes efforts to weaken the bill. Given that the Senate will probably act on the bill today or tomorrow, now is the time to let your legislator know you support these common-sense regulations.

Tell your Senator you want strong protections for homeowners. Especially in this economy, it’s the right thing to do.
