Hundreds march against anti-immigration efforts

About 250 people gathered in downtown Raleigh Thursday afternoon to protest racial profiling and efforts to pass anti-immigrant legislation similar to Arizona’s.

North Carolina lawmakers recently introduced a resolution [1] that would make it a crime for aliens not to carry documentation at all times. That measure remains in committee.

Thursday’s rally also marked the second time in less that two weeks that hundreds marched in Raleigh to voice support for diversity.

Our thanks to the NC Justice Center’s Phyllis Nunn for capturing some of the images from the event. [2] [3] [4] [4] [5]
