Oberlander: Health reform is a convenient scapegoat

[1]UNC Professor Jonathan Oberlander was interviewed [2] by WFAE’s Julie Rose about the Blue Cross health reform website. Blue Cross says it wants to be your “go to” source for information. Right.

Oberlander summed it up nicely: “Health reform becomes a convenient scapegoat for insurers that are going to raise rates anyway.”

He also wisely recommends that anyone seeking information should look to the North Carolina Institute of Medicine [3]. We would also tell people who want objective information to check out the Kaiser Family Foundation website at www.kff.org [4]. There is also www.healthcare.gov [5] for insurance resources. And, of course, for brilliant, readable updates on the political scene you should follow the Progressive Pulse.
