Watauga Watch points our attention to this story in the Jefferson Post about a rally attended by Congresswoman Virginia Foxx. One highlight was this gem:

Some anger was apparent in the words of Laura Comeaux, a Tea Party organizer from Mountain City, TN. She said she feels sorry for President Obama, comparing him to a trained monkey led by those around him, and said if he thinks he’s great then he’s mistaken. She blasted the “Obamacare” health care plan saying parts of it will take away an individual’s rights of choice and privacy, call down punishment on those who don’t follow its rules and show favoritism to faiths other than Christianity.

Charming.

Kentucky Senate candidate Rand Paul has been showing favoritism to faiths other than Christianity by forcing people to worship the Aqua Buddha. Watch this tense debate exchange where Paul basically asks who among us has not kidnapped someone and forced them to pray to the Aqua Buddha? It was college, c’mon.

And while we are on the topic of tea parties, check out this story about Alaska Senate candidate Joe Miller having his private security detail arrest a blogger.

Is anyone else a little worried about the Medicaid fraud investigations unit at the Attorney General’s office? It seems like everyone who screwed up at the SBI is getting transferred to Medicaid investigations.
