Top of the Morning

Top of the morning

Here’s the dumb quote of the day from a candidate—and yes there are a lot to choose from.  Republican Senate candidate Dan Soucek says one reason people should vote against his opponent, Democratic Senator Steve Goss, is because he is running for reelection for the third time.

He said Goss’ decision to seek office for at least six years is evidence of being a long-term politician

If Soucek has any spare time, he might want to campaign against Senate Minority Leader Phil Berger and House Minority Leader Paul Stam too. Both are running for their sixth term in the General Assembly. If Soucek thinks six years is too long, what must be think of twelve?
