The latest Elon University Poll shows North Carolinians are a bit more undecided politically than you might think heading into Election Day.

The majority of people believe things have gotten off track and nearly two-thirds of those who were polled say that the economy is the most important issue facing North Carolina.  No surprises there. 

But the poll finds that by a small margin, people believe that Democrats would do a better job handling the economy. Even more surprising given the current political climate is that people also believe Democrats would do a better job handling health care issues.

The poll finds that by narrow margins people think Republicans would do a better job with immigration, taxes, and family values—whatever that means.
