Not everyone is laughing at Colbert's take on Wake County Schools

Governor Bev Perdue says she was “unhappy” when she saw  the recent spoof on the “disintegration” of Wake County Schools by Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert.

During a meeting Thursday with the News & Record editorial board, the governor suggested the national attention the school board has received could adversely impact the recruitment of new jobs to the state.

If you’re a business leader, you don’t want to come to an area where schools are in disarray.”
