The House HHS Appropriations Subcommittee has published a grim list of proposed budget cuts. Check them out by clicking here.

UPDATED – There’s lots more to come, of course, but the bottom line on all the subcommittee proposals at this point is that the House leaders have sprung a disastrous list of draconian cuts that will take the state back several decades.

    Up until now, draconian cuts that could set the state back decades have only been proposed to scare the citizens of this state into paying increased taxes.

    Doesn’t look like that will be case this year. Neither Perdue nor the Legislature have favored extending the termporary sales tax.

    There is a lot of fat in the UNC system, in addition to a large selection of useless classes. We need to get back to the basics folks.
