Redistricting [1] will be the first item on the agenda for legislators next week, but good government groups are keeping a watchful eye on any attempts to further rewrite the state’s election laws.

N.C. Center for Public Policy Research [2] executive director Ran Coble says Senate Bill 47 [3], which was refered to the House Committee on Elections, could re-emerge during this short session.

SB 47 would would repeal Same-Day Registration, ban straight-ticket voting, end Sunday voting, and much more.

Coble joins us on News & Views this weekend to talk about the session and why SB47 [3] should be seen as an effort to undermine voter turnout in North Carolina.
