If you’re making plans to attend this afternoon’s Town Hall meeting [1] with House Speaker Thom Tillis in Morrisville, you may want to first check out a new tool by Together NC. [2]

The coalition of more than 100 advocacy groups has just released “On The Chopping Block [3],” a web-based resource that tracks the impact of budget cuts in every region of North Carolina.

The tool even projects the jobs that will be lost by 2013 because of the state budget.

In addition to focusing on employment, the site also serves as a reminder of how the budget has impacted Health and Human Services, the environment, and justice and public safety. All of which is good to brush up on in advance of  today’s town hall with Speaker Tillis, that gets underway at 5:00pm at the Morrisville Fire Station #1 (200 Town Hall Drive, Morrisville, NC).
