Marriage discrimination amendment luncheon a hit

Post on November 29, 2011 by 3 Comments »

Sorry we’ve been a little quiet on The Pulse today. It’s not going to last. We’ll have lots of stuff up shortly from today’s excellent Crucial Conversation luncheon on the mariage discrimination amendment, including the inspiring talk of national marriage equality leader Evan Wolfson and the informative PowerPoint presentations of UNC law professors,  Maxine Eichner and Holning Lau. Stay tuned…

    Rob,

Thanks for such a stimulating discussion. Professors Eichner and Lau brought much ammunition I can use in the education process for those who believe they know what issue this amendment is thought to address. Thankfully, I am now better prepared to guide others.

Again, my thanks for a coherent and comprehensive discussion of serious issues facing us.

    All best!

The amendment is to address the definition of marriage as between one man and one woman against those who seek to redefine it. Or do your followers promote polygamy, as well?

My original comment was moderated. Maybe this one will stay up.

@Nonanon: As Professor Eichner’s presentation clearly illustrates, the amendment does much more than address marriage.

Here’s another link to her brief, logical and persuasive presentation:

    Vote NO on Amendment One.
