If only state legislative leaders would pay attention to these people

[1]It goes on for nearly five hours so you probably can’t watch the whole thing, but if you haven’t checked it out yet, watch some of this video provided by WRAL.com [2]┬áin which school superintendents from throughout the state tell the truth about state budget cuts to education,

Interestingly and tellingly, House Speaker Thom Tillis’ #1 deputy (i.e. Senate President Pro Tem Phil Berger) waited until the end of the day to weigh in with one insipid and uninformed tweet [3]:

“Gov Perdue continues to spread misinformation about education and #ncga [4]. We’ve restored more than 2,000 of the state-funded teachers she cut”

Earth to Senator Berger: Watch the video. There’s plenty of blame to go around on public education, but the hard truth is that Perdue and the Democrats did a decent job of surviving a Great Recession-induced state budget free-fall. You and Tillis took a situation that was on the rebound that could have been made substantially better and instead made it much worse with your absurd and ill-timed tax cuts.
