House Majority Leader Paul Stam tells the Fayetteville Observer that he didn’t want to put the overly broad marriage discrimination amendment on the ballot. He was overruled.
Stam, the Raleigh lawmaker, said he wanted a more narrowly worded amendment but was “overruled” by “national experts” he identified as the Alliance Defense Fund, a Christian legal advocacy group.
Nice to know who Stam is really working for in Raleigh.
Today’s Fitzsimon File includes a little more about the Alliance Defense Fund.
