NC’s dwindling public investments – five charts that paint the picture

The Great Recession slowed down job growth in North Carolina but it didn’t slow down population growth.

A new chart series from the folks at the N.C. Budget & Tax Center [1] shows how large the gap has become when you examine the level of  state funding allocated in the final FY12-13 budget in key areas like education and health care compared to the growing need in North Carolina.
