Most polls show the presidential race a dead heat among North Carolina’s registered voters. On Monday, CNN revised its prediction for our state from “leans Romney” to being a true “toss up.”
The dean of North Carolina’s congressional delegation says it’s surprising that Romney is still trying to get some voters to warm to him, especially when North Carolina’s unemployment rate stands at 9.6%.
Rep. Howard Coble (R – NC, 6th District) says if asked, he would advise Romney to “lean firmly” upon Independents in the remaining 70 days of the campaign.
Coble joins us this weekend on News & Views to talk about the presidential race, his newly redrawn congressional district, and campaigning in a post-Citizens United world.
