UNC Project Helping Teachers, Immigrant Kids in NC

Far away from the nasty rhetoric around immigration, dedicated NC teachers are working with the UNC School of Social Work to improve educational opportunities and mental health treatment available to kids who have immigrated to NC.  I’m certainly biased since the UNC professor in charge of the project is my spouse but I don’t think anyone can fail to be affected by the idea that immigrant kids deserve first and foremost to be treated as well as we treat every child in North Carolina regardless of where they come from and whatever their mental health needs may be.
