Debate night #2

North Carolina’s gubernatorial candidates go head to head again tonight in their second debate this month. Republican Pat McCrory and Democrat Walter Dalton square off at 7:00 p.m. at the University of North Carolina Television [1]studios.
Most of the buzz though is about the presidential debate that begins two hours later at 9:00 p.m. at Hofstra University. Tonight’s format is a town hall style debate, with an audience of uncommitted voters chosen by the Gallup polling firm.

Political pundits and pollsters [3] have called this the most important debate of the election season, with Mitt Romney gaining momentum following his first debate performance.

So what should viewers expect to see?

Politico has a good rundown this morning in “5 things to watch at the debate [4].”
