NC House Republicans passed health exchange unanimously in 2011

With all the health exchange discussion – including much Republican complaint that there isn’t enough time to do a health exchange or complaint that the federal government is trying to control NC’s exchange – it is worth remembering that on May 25, 2011 the NC House overwhelmingly passed a North Carolina health exchange bill 83-34.  Not a single Republican voted against the health exchange in the House.  The bill was never considered in the Senate as the “will Obamacare make it” waiting game for the US Supreme Court decision and the outcome of the presidential election began.
