A rundown of this weekend’s gubernatorial festivities

After taking the oath of office last weekend in small, private ceremony, Governor Pat McCrory and his cabinet will be publicly sworn into office this  Saturday.

Here’s a rundown of some of the festivities surrounding the event:

Friday in Raleigh:

6:00 p.m. – Governor’s Reception
Location: Raleigh Convention Center Grand BallroomMcCrory_Jan5 [1]
Entertainment: Raleigh Jazz Trio

8:00 p.m. – Gala Presentation
Location: Raleigh Convention Center Exhibition Hall
Entertainment: The Avett Brothers and other North Carolina entertainment

9:00 p.m. – midnight – North Carolina Inaugural Ball
Location: Raleigh Convention Center
Entertainment: Bull City Syndicate, The Hot at Nights and Old Habits

Saturday in Raleigh:

11:00 a.m. – Governor Pat McCrory attends public Inaugural Ceremony and delivers Inaugural Address
Location: South Lawn of the North Carolina State Capitol, Intersection of Morgan St. and Fayetteville St., Raleigh.

12:30 p.m. – Inaugural Parade
Location: The parade route will begin at intersection of Fayetteville and Davie Streets.

2:30 p.m.- Governor McCrory attends the NC Executive Mansion Open House
Location:200 North Blount St., Raleigh.

8:30 p.m.- Inaugural Celebration reception
Location: Raleigh Convention Center
