A measure providing an additional $51 billion in recovery funding from Superstorm Sandy cleared the U.S. House Tuesday.  The final vote was 241-180 [1], with fiscal conservatives criticizing the level of spending and pressing for cuts in other areas of the federal budget.

The package divided North Carolina’s congressional delegation – with four House Democrats supporting the storm relief bill and the state’s nine Republicans voting against the measure.

Several of those Republican members had voted earlier this month to support $9.7 billion [2] in spending to replenish the federal government’s flood insurance fund.

Here’s how North Carolina’s House delegation voted Tuesday:

Yea
Rep. G.K. Butterfield – 1st District
Rep. David Price – 4th DistrictSANDY [3]
Rep. Mike McIntyre – 7th District
Rep. Mel Watt – 12th District

Nay

Rep. Walter Jones – 3rd District
Rep. Virginia Foxx – 5th District
Rep. Howard Coble – 6th District
Rep. Richard Hudson – 8th District
Rep. Robert Pittenger – 9th District
