Unlike NC’s McCrory, Republican Ohio governor weighs Medicaid expansion

Today the NC Senate moved a bill in committee to reject the Obamacare Medicaid expansion.  A vote approving this move is expected Monday night.  NC’s Governor held a press conference at the same time this morning to announce that – surprise, surprise! – an audit of NC’s Medicaid program shows financial issues that “unfortunately” mean the Governor can’t support expansion.

McCrory and the NC General Assembly are moving in the wrong direction.  Republican Governors in Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico have already signed on.  Republican Governor Rick Scott in Florida, after some initial wariness, is moving towards approval as well.  And now Ohio’s Republican Governor John Kasich [1] is making hints he’s ready to go the same way.
