Prosperity Watch: North Carolina creating jobs in all the wrong places

According to the latest issue of Prosperity Watch, North Carolina’s job growth has remained stubbornly stagnant over the last year, with the unemployment rate stuck between 9.6 and 9.4 since February 2012. Even more troubling, however, is the fact that what little employment growth the state has experienced since the end of the recession has largely occurred in low-wage service industries. In effect, the state is losing the middle-wage jobs that used to provide a pathway into the middle class for many North Carolinians and replacing them with jobs in industries that pay significantly below the state average—a boom in low-wage employment.  See the latest issue of Prosperity Watch for details.

This is the point of liberalism….keep everyone low paid, get them on the government dole, harvest the votes. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Funny, the NC House and Senate GOP claim credit for the same BLS data. I guess there’s always work for cherry pickers, even at minimum wage.

The French philosopher Rousseau said…… ” when the people have nothing more to eat, they will eat the rich “. This seems to be the Obama approach.

Actually the point of liberalism is freedom and equality for all…. you know the American dream of our forefathers…. not a stinking pit of human misery where the rich live behind gated walls and the poor are forced to become serfs for the wealthy…. My ancestors fought agaiinst the type of fascism the GOP is pushing .. why oh why do the newly arrived immigrants like the Romneys, Santorums, Jindals want to close the door behind their precious families? I know why. To destroy our country from within… all patriotic Americans need to wake up and fight the treasonous right before they succeed in their dream of: misery for all but a few, a dictated religion, no personal freedoms expecially those involving female bodies, voting only for the elite few, discrimination as the new norm and just being an all around lackluster racist is enought to get you top billing for your party. sounds like my native state NC and this uppity woman is not happy about it… and as for eating the rich Alex… society has a tendency to reap what it sows and there are no gates high enough to keep those without hope out, so keep peddling your propaganda, but know only true believers and fellow boot-lickers like Doug are lapping it up…

This the direct result of corporatization that began with Ronnie Raygun and got pumped with steroids by George the Dullard. Thirty years of conservative supply side economics can’t be undone over night, but the problem can be solved simply by voting every Republican out of office.
